Cretoxyrhina is an extinct genus of shark that lived during the Late Cretaceous period, approximately 100-70 million years ago. It resembles the modern-day great white shark both in size and build, estimated to have reached up to 8 meters (26 feet) in length, and is sometimes referred to as the “Ginsu shark” because of its razor-sharp serrated teeth.
