A mod that removes the hay-like colour scheme of the American (plains) bison for more naturalistic looks.

The recolours come in two flavours: a “choccy” dark, reddish-brown closer to their colour in real life and a “tangy” warm brown with a note of orange for those who want a more poppy, saturated palette. Both flavours share the same colour palette for the calf, alongside the adoption icon, list icon, and plaque.

Additionally, since Zoo Tycoon does not have variants like its successor, dimorphic versions allow some more variations in your buffalo herd. However, be mindful that addingdimorphism requires changing the animal attributes. I thus added a herd size increase for the dimorphic versions as a bonus. The non-dimorphic versions, on the other hand, is purely graphical and should be compatible with other hacks or mods that change the bison.ai file.

Each file offered below will conflict with one another, so please use only one per game session.

Known Issues

Dimorphic versions will conflict with any mods that modify a bison’s attributes, such as Nature vs ZT or Reality Hack.
